More powerful hardware means more LocoRoco or enemies on screen and more complex levels and puzzles. New mechanics can be created using the microphone,cameras, or dual analog sticks. Touch could also be used to change the shape of the LocoRoco (which will be useful in certain circumstances). The rear touch could be used for interacting with the levels, or tickling the LocoRoco (which was a game mechanic). The existing mechanic of separating the LocoRoco would be much more fluid with touch, wouldn't it? Imagine popping them like bubbles with a quick touch, or having them gather on one LocoRoco that you hold your finger on, or being able to stop a LocoRoco from rolling with the level by holding your finger in front of them, making the levels much more complex. Perhaps just certain sections of the levels could be moved via sixaxis (as in LocoRoco Cocoreccho for ps3) or with the analog sticks? The existing mechanics could be expanded upon. The difference in digital (L/R on PSP) and analog tilting on Vita alone would be great, but the jumping ability would be much more satisfying. So if you don't see why this game would be perfect for Vita, let me tell you.įirstly, the game mechanics complement motion controls so well. PlayStation Plus has never given out larger titles on the PlayStation 4, but with the increasing age of the PlayStation 3 and the limited library of the PS Vita it might be time to consider shifting more resources towards PlayStation 4 support. The question that's increasingly asked within the community is when Sony will step up the scope of the PlayStation 4 offerings on PlayStation Plus. Obviously the line-up is missing a blockbuster title, but as ever the line-up does offer a selection of fine smaller games that are diverse and all well reviewed.
Just to summarize the titles included in May's PlayStation Plus line-up:

Ghost of Sparta is perhaps the best handheld God of War title and is rated by many as a PSP favorite. For PlayStation Vita there's the aforementioned Switch Galaxy Ultra, as well as the PSP to PS Vita port for God of War: Ghost of Sparta. On PlayStation 3 there is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, and self-described "interactive screensaver" LocoRoco Cocoreccho. The rest of PlayStation Plus' May line-up should offer something for everyone. It's one of the PS Vita selections for May, but luckily it happens to work on PlayStation 4 too. As a bonus in May, indie action racer Switch Galaxy Ultra will also be available on PlayStation 4.
